Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

My husband is a little more loose on certain things we watch (some of which makes me go... come on), but we do both get frustrated by the political inserts and lack of quality that are so common in modern media. We don't go to the theater at all, and see very few new movies.
I've not seen Saving Private Ryan either, but I've heard that it is very good and I'd love to someday. War movies are something that have always been very interesting to me.
I don't mind being in the minority, either. A much better life we get to lead!
It has foul language but the intensity of the conflicts of war allow us to overlook some.
I purchase a bag of popcorn, prepare it and we watch something online and mostly not recent. We're good with it.

My family did watch the 1917 movie, and it was alright. The main draw was that it was made to look as if it were shot in one or two continuous scenes, no cuts. Quite fascinating, cinematographically, a new thing to me.
Lawrence of Arabia is a favorite of mine, one to note for real, wonderfully well done cinematography. Have you seen it? I've watched it so many times, and dream to one day see it in theater or concert. I even have a vinyl of the soundtrack, and my mom had a tape growing up. It was back in theaters last August for an anniversary, but I was entirely unaware because I was busy planning my bridal shower! :'( I was so sad when I found out.
My husband and I watch a lot of stuff on my laptop that he's saved digital copies of over the years. We don't share much taste for movies, but there have been some fun things in there. Mostly from the early 2000's and 70's-90's, as his preference follows.

Today we saw "Materialists'. Kind of 'chick flicky', but entertaining. We both give 3 stars.
I saw this movie Materialists. I seem to miss the point of this movie altogether as there is nothing new about this topic of marrying for money or for love?

The math calculation of relationship is not interesting, dry and boring. Although I do like the actors and actress in the movie, that was the reason I saw this movie from the first place. 😄

Ditto for Lawrence of Arabia.

Today we saw 'The Naked Gun'. I am a Liam Neeson superfan - didn't know that he could be so funny. Parts that others may find inappropriate, I laughed hysterically at. It's pretty funny and goes quickly. The Princess only goes 2 stars, but I go 3.5 stars.

Thanks for the review. I’m also a Neeson fan, but didn’t realize humor was part of his “Particular set of skills”!

Did the movie have a redeeming quality?
I am too old for this world. I am 67 and did not become a Christian until 33.
Was I crazy and immoral as a youth? yes. Not pleased with that aspect of my life and repentant of it. Why would I devalue my life so much to marry for money? Lack of morals, teaching, you are of value etc. If one would do so, they would Know it, which means they have no morals Or self worth at the time. Sad. We don't need to Pay to see a movie that shows us what we already know is wrong with the current social situation/world.

Golly, you all are going to think, get her outta here. I am good with that.

Someone tell me of a good moral movie, that we should pay to see.
