Looks good, sounds good, using all available space and structure that is already there...But...
It smells like do-do, look's like do-do....I wouldn't want my farm animals (chickens) that close to the house...smell and sanitary reasons. Each to their own and over time we all learn from doing...
Good Luck, keep us posted on how long you keep this set-up.

Yesterday DH picked up the last of the materials to build our new run.

I'll continue to use the current one for the younger birds for a while, until they are big enough to integrate into the adult flock. But before too long, all my chickens will be relocated to the middle of my backyard... unless I get some Silkies.
