Ha ha! I told husband I was going to get 3 chicks to replace the 3 hens I lost over time last year. I came home with five. After reading some about cochins, I went back to the feed store and bought two more cochins (it would have been more but there were only two left). I said nothing to my husband. He came out of the room where the brooder was and said, "It's a miracle! 4 day old chicks can reproduce! There were five, now there's 7!" I sheepishly admitted to being struck by chicken math, yet again! He just laughed. I love my enabling spouse who humors me in my hobby.
