CURTAINS IN COOP

You'd have to like breathing dust. They'll be a giant dust trap and everytime the wind blows, or you adjust them, or you take them down to clean them, they will shed their accumulated dust straight into your unsuspecting lungs.

(I don't have curtains but I have towels and sheets thrown over stored stuff in the chicken bldg, same diff, and the above is exactly what they do)

Here is a picture of my coop from the outside which shows the valance. I'll take a picture of the inside tonight and put on tomorrow.

I have drapes in my coop. I gave them heavy lined drapes for the winter because the windows are single paned. So I am as crazy as you are.

Mine also have their own artwork hanging in the coop. I painted (attempted to I am not a painter at all) portrait of our driveway for them. You can see them in this picture of their artwork...nice autumn print. They have a radio also.

I actually have considered putting some curtains up over my South facing window in the summer to see if it helps keep out some of the heat, but no I sure as heck don't plan on anything just for decoration. It would be covered in dust in just a matter of days anyway. But I have to admit, your valance looks pretty darn cute.

WHAT? Oh my goodness, I don't have curtains in my coop! What a horrible chicken mommy I am. I read this post and off to the sewing machine I went. I knew I had some leftover green and white gingham. I even made a tablecloth for my picnic table to match.
They aren't spoiled.
