Custom Incubators

I'm thinking about starting a custom-built incubator business. Starting with an incubator that would hatch 50-75 chicken-size eggs, made of wood (possibly redwood), digital controls, including one incubator tray and one hatcher tray. Do you think there would be a demand for such a unit priced at the $375-$425 range? Is so, what features would you like to see in such a unit?

Commenting as someone who builds custom incubators, I think there is some demand. Don't think it is large enough to build a business around, but I'm frequently wrong about things. Makes a great hobby. As a start up you will be competing with the established manufacturers , a flood of cheep imports from china and the used market. I think if you build a couple of prototypes you will get the feedback you're looking for.
