I feel like this is perfectly written. No one can guarantee a hatch rate of course however when I bought my eggs locally, I inquired as to what their success rate was prior to buying. I would replace the eggs because it will create a better reputation for yourself even if it is user or Shipping error. I am incubating my first batch of hatching eggs as we speak and I have 26 total. I paid $42.00 for 21 eggs and received 5 extra eggs in case of loss. I have heard good things about this farm as well. They have up on their website now:
"Unfortunately, ------- Farm will no longer be shipping hatching eggs. Despite our best efforts at packing, the shipping caused too much variability in hatch results"
I assume they just had too much trouble with complaints and hatch rates. If I do not have a single viable eggs when I candle. I will expect either a refund or replacement eggs. As a buyer that's how I feel. Now If I screw them up, than its my fault of course. I think you are doing the right thing in replacing the eggs from a moral stand point. If they are lying, that's something they will have to deal with at some point. You should only replace them once. I don't think its fair to assume the worst of people and think that he/she would abuse you generosity.
