So one of my smaller Khaki Campbells got out of the fence today. I loaded all the other ones in their house to try to get her back into the fence area. I finally got her in. Well I went to grab her and she legit caught her foot on a piece of the fence sticking out. After I gently took her off I fixed the fence so it wouldn't happen again. My dad said she'll be ok but she's bleeding and I'm still worried. Is there anything I can do for it?? Or should I just clean it and keep her locked up til it heals a little?

I would keep her in for a day or so, be sure to clean the foot a few times a day with Vetericyn solution or saline solution, maybe dab it with some antibiotic cream without pain killer. I have read painkillers can be toxic to waterfowl.

Flies will lay eggs in open wounds - that's why I would keep her in.
