Cut Grass

Haven't tried it--- but I bet if you sprinkle gasoline on grass clippings the chickens won't touch'em.

Fumes-- fumes are just that fumes by the time they hit the ground the concentration of CO or COE is down to almost undetectable. Minutes after cutting it would be near zero.

Fumes and gas not a valid reason to not give to a chicken. Besides ---- do any of you know any one who cuts hay with out the aid of an internal combustion engine?

After reading everything about this that I could find, i've decided that the danger is not too great for the joy that my girls get from having it. So tonight, I went around the yard and just plucked some grass and clover and such and put it in their run. They DO love it so much..and someone mentioned that they did it to alleviate boredom? I also do it for that reason It is AMAZING how spoiled my chickens are!
