I went out today and found that Millie my Blue Fawn Call duck has a very small clean cut in one of the webs of her left foot. It is a clean cut from the edge heading to the middle; it is not even a half an inch long. I searched to try and find what wire or screw or something that was sticking out that cute her and found a few places that could have caused it so I fixed them all but I could of missed one maybe, I can’t be sure. I cleaned the cut and put antibiotic cream on it but I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this happen before and if so what did you do? I would hate for it to get infected or get any bigger.

    Thanks

Just try and keep the area clean- the foot is an area that heals quite well. She may always have a small split where the cut is the the edges may not join together completely.

Thanks she is doing fine today and doesn’t seem to be bothered by the cut at all. I will just keep every thing as clean as I can and watch the cut to make sure all is well. I just wish I could be sure of what cut her, I found some sharp edges but I can’t be sure that one of them was the cause of it nor that I found every sharp edge there is. Oh well, thanks
