The wings have feathers of two lengths. Is this another way we can tell a roo?

Here's what I think

1. I am 99.99999% sure it is a cockeral. My reasoning, it's stance, very "leggy". As for its feathering, the bottom edge of the wing featers are all the same length, so again cockeral and to top it off I tried the old wives tale, putting it on its back...it went nuts. When it first hatched...I just knew it was a cockeral...just one of those feelings.

2. I'm going with blue wheaten because of its very light coloration. Its hard to tell in the photos but I think the coloration on the wings is blue. I'll send pics when it's older.

well, I am going with cockeral because pullets don't get dark feathers, at least mine didn't until a lot older and then they are minimal and only in certain spots. I am still going with wheaten because my blue wheatens were a much lighter color in the wing ......
are we going to get weekly pics?
