Cute outhouse coop on CL

I won't be spending $895 on a coop any time soon, but thought this was quite cute, especially the toilet seat entrances to the nest boxes.

Wow that looks so neat! Too bad it's way out of my price range.

Out of my range too - that's about 15 years worth of eggs for the 2 of us.

But I'm thinking that if I have a spare toilet seat from remodeling, I might use it as the door into my coop. Should be easy to put in an eye hook to lift up the lid, and a latch to keep it shut tight at night. It could also be painted up to be cute, with flowers or something, if it's one of the plain white seats.

I don't know, the coop is really cute...... But I don't necessarily like the idea of using the toilet seats as the entrance to the nest boxes.... Won't that encourage them to crap in the nest box???

It's a very adorable and unique coop...very clever idea. However, it would NOT comfortably house 6 standard chickens (as they advertise), especially if used in an area that gets cold winters.
