Cute roosting behavior...but is it OK?

Now that I have a light in the coop, I can see inside clearly as I am locking them up for the night. Out of the five chickens, three seem to sleep on the perch, huddled really close together. The other two stand on the floor (the roost is only a few inches raised above a sort of loft in the coop) and poke their heads between the three - their heads under the others ones' wings.



Here they were when I first checked - after I was there for a little while, the two on the floor poked their heads all the way through to look at me.

Is there any problem with this setup? Its such a small coop, I can't really put the roost any higher!

Nothing wrong in having a roost just inches off the floor. If you have enough space on the roost and they are not sleeping in the nest box for the eggs, your good.
