Well our runner duck eggs turned out to be fertile, and I hatched 15ducklings out of 18eggs!

I've attached a picture.

These are from mallard type ('grey') runner duck parents. I was wondering - Can I tell the difference between the males and females from the colour ie Are the females brown and the male ducklings yellow? I know for most type of runner duck the males/females don't look that different, but adult mallard-types are strikingly different, so I wondered if the babies are different too?

The ducklings are certainly cute!!!

I would like to see a pic of the parents, with some doubts as to whether they are runners. Are they from TSC? These very sweet ducklings might be the progeny of "golden 300" ducks.

IF (and only if) the mother has some black on her feathers, the brown baby would be a girl. All the other ducklings - you can't tell till they get full adult feathers - generally at 8-12 weeks of age.
