I haven't been real attached to my chickens because of an overabundance of roosters and the pain of losing them to predators. We recently got rid of 2 of our roosters (gave them to a neighbor) and things have been calmer lately. We had friends stop by on Sunday and we were sitting in kind of a semi-circle outside on the grass. One of the barred rock hens walked over and laid down right in the empty spot that completed the circle. So there we all were sitting and chatting together including Ms. Hen. I thought that was really cute so I wanted to share.

haha.wish you could have video taped that for sure........ I take my camera when ever I walk out the door now.....just see SO many funny things when feeding the coop..........someday I will catch my hen running away and film it....I nearly laugh till tears come to my eyes everytime she does it........
