We got 8 Cemani about 6 months ago, that were 2 weeks old. Turns out that 6 of them are roosters, and one of the 2 hens died from a predator , so has been the one hen, afraid to get off the roosting bar with all the roosters circling like sharks below.
Finally got 5 of the roosters separated , so it’s just 1 hen and 1 rooster for the past 2 weeks, but have yet to have 1 egg from our hen.

It will take time for her to regain weight and overcome stress from the abuse of 6 roosters. Even one may be too much for her. Very likely she will not lay until the daylight period starts increasing.

We were thinking , if we put another hen in with her, it might comfort her a little. Been looking at the other ladies to find a loner-ish hen that might enjoy being away from the outside roosters for a while.
We are trying to maintain the breed of the Cemani, and they aren’t a big egg layer bird anyway, but they have been separate from the rest of the flock since we got them.

You can put another hen(s) in with her that lay different colored eggs so you’d be able to tell which were pure Cemani.
