I have been trying to handle my chicks a lot so they can be nice and comfortable around me; I want pet chickens and I can't wait until they are old enough to be bribed with food! Since being comfortable around me inevitably will require being comfortable around my dogs I decided we needed to spend some serious bonding time today.
So I covered the bed in lots of sheet and brought my little peepers out. The dogs were incredibly well behaved, of course I was watching them like a hawk the entire time. At one point, Penny got so excited by the chicks scratching that she started scratching the bed back and wagging her tail in pounce position. Too cute!!
The cat is surprisingly uninterested. I can only assume his disinterest is a ploy- I don't trust it for a second!

Penny just wanted a little taste... although she is really much more interested in the poop!
And after I put them away, the dogs wanted to sit by the brooder and watch for awhile! Awww!
