Any tips on introducing dogs? I have a Border Collie that I know is very smart. But, she just wants to pounce them and play with them. Everytime she tries she gets scolded. I had a bad experience with my last dog where he ate all the chickens when we left. (He got into their cage ... it was a massace) so yeah, i'm a little nervous this time. Please any hints and tips would be very much appreciated.

I have two beagles, too! You can't have just one! They are the same way, especially our girl beagle; she'll just sit and watch them in the brooder all the time. Any time one of the cats comes around, she chases them off. She's notorious for breaking into the pen with the older girls and stealing their food, but leaving them alone. Such cute pics!

Thanks for that - I'll definitely try it. Hopefully my dog is trainable in this area.

use it in conjunction with a 'leave it' command. If they don't 'leave it,' they get a spray in the face. I got our dog to stop barking at other dogs when we were driving with one spray. So far our dogs are good with the chicks but I should get the spray bottle out for the outdoor hens.
