cutest chicken names!

Bixi button the boobie bird - a black silkie who when he was a chick liked to go to sleep down my top for hours. Trixi baby - black crested polish. We have 5 silkies and 2 frizzle Cochins due next week, so trying to think that of names. We did have Dixi, pixie, twinkle, twiglet, dot, dash,Trinni,Ginni, tilda, but we lost them recently.

Bixi Button???? cant get much cuter than that i have to say! Naming is half the fun....I just got a gold laced bantam wyandotte who is so freakin sweet...name suggestions???? she is about 9 mos i think...impulse buy at the poultry show in modesto last week.

Oh wow it's been a while sense I was on BYC, sense my laptop belongs to the school they blocked it for some reason and I finally got them to unblock it.

Here are some names I plan on naming some in my next batch of chicks:

Ulfur - Wolf in Icelandic
Oimny - Not a word but there is this thing for school notes where you have to type in a random code of letters to get in every day. A few weeks ago it spelled out this, and it sounds adorable.
Vulture - For any naked-neck chickens you may have ^-^
Tiny Button- Someone on an online game said they had a bantam named "Tiny Button"
Floof
Ire - for that extra grumpy little chick.

Ours were
Henrietta (of course)
Peckarita
Trixie
Marsala
I've already decided that our next batch of chicks will have a "popcorn"

All Buff Orpingtons

Our Buff Orpingtons are Skipper (rooster), Ginger (hen), and Mary Ann (hen). Our white Silkie is Lovey. We had a Silkie names Minnow, but she died earlier in the winter.

We have a Turken, a Salmon Faverolle, and a Black Australorp being shipped to us March 1st. They'll probably be Winifred, Sarah, and Mary after the Sanderson sisters from the movie Hocus Pocus. (The kind of crazy looking leader, the cute blonde, and the black haired silly one).

We have 11 chicks that are 9 weeks today. When they were smaller they had markings and we started naming them based on the markings. Three americanas that had an arrow on the head, so we named her arrow and one with a heart so she became sweetheart and one with a dot so she became Dottie- even thought I wanted to call those three chickory, hickory and hawk. I really call the white one Runt since we had 12 to start off and a white one died. Very small birds. Lucy, Goldie, Red, Rocky , Blackie, Mo and Jo. Who knows what there final name will be BBQ!

Finally got around to writing the menu naming my month old bantam chicks the other day.
