Definitely didn’t imply anything. Just stating my opinion. It may be a good idea to some to clip wings but i wouldn’t do it.You may not have said we were wrong, but it was definitely implied. You disagree that it is a good idea to clip wings. To you it sounds wrong. I have done it before. Am I wrong? Or am I right?
Okay, my opinion isn’t the same, but that’s not a bad thing. If you were in a situation like that I would hope that you could figure something else out. This person that you first talked about did what they thought was right, and there is nothing wrong with that. Lots of people clip wings, and lots of people don’t. Really it all comes down to what’s best for the bird, and people have all different kind of opinions with that. I can tell you are thinking of what’s best for the bird as well.Definitely didn’t imply anything. Just stating my opinion. It may be a good idea to some to clip wings but i wouldn’t do it.
I like how you’re nice about it. After all i did ask for opinions. In my case, my birds don’t fly over the fence but i also only let them free range when i’m around to occupy. If it was me and my birds were flying over the fence i wouldn’t clip their wings, I would just get a higher fence.Okay, my opinion isn’t the same, but that’s not a bad thing. Then don't? I have yet to, but I have a pullet I might because sooner or later she's going to get into trouble flying around like she doesPrevious stated, they are birds. I wouldn’t cut their feathers.
Clipping birds feathers is a painless procedure, all I can think it could cause is stress if the chickens are handled carelessly, now if you cut their wings it would be inhumane and painful. My chickens got used to it when they were just pullets, and consider that my garden is not fenced off, but walled off, the walls are 2 1/2 meters tall and made of brick.Okay, my opinion isn’t the same, but that’s not a bad thing.
