cwhit590's Egg Art (Pic Heavy!)

Pretty cool...I thought it might be ink

- BTW, I have an artist daughter in Detroit (6th year in art college) - she the one that showed me the ink before. Sounds like a very good method,

especially since in your photos it looks like it comes off very clean with the pin. Clever clever of you!!

Enjoy your holidays too! And thanks so much for sharing!!

Another thing I really like about the ink....it dries fast!

I can finish some eggs in one setting...it dries fast enough (most of the time

) for me to put my fingers on it without smudging as I work my way around the egg.

The etched egg is the only one like that that I've done so far. I'll have to try more of those when things slow down after the Holidays.

My favorite is the Zebra printed one, as well as the other animal prints! Are the black and white patterned ones by a stencil? The print is all too perfect in size lol. I dont know if it was answered but those are blown out before you painted them right? I made my sister one like 17 years ago (or more) and she still had it up until a year ago [I picked it up and accidentally dropped and broke it! I felt bad because I thought my niece made it for her. I felt worse when I realized it was mine I broke it after 17 years

] I didnt seal mine or anything and it lasted all those years!

Just thought I would add a few more pics of some eggs I did for Christmas and gave to relatives...these were painted black and gold. (btw - my mom really wanted to help, so she tied the ribbon and did the bead cap stuff.

Eventually I would like to be able to sell some locally (either shops or the farmer's market) and online....if only I had more free TIME to make some!
