I think I've gotten the runt, the smallest and the one that is walking around more. When i went to pick one, i didn't pick one out of the tractor that were laying there not being able to move, I looked for the one's that were out and about; more than the normal. It's sibblings were a lot bigger and legs were much thicker. I got the one that was the one that was walking a bit more than the Cornish cross and eating some grass. Question is, will it catch up and be good for meat eventually? Got him home last night and doesn't seem to eat much.

( Before I submitted my post, I cut a few pieces of grass and put them next to her and she started to eat it) Maybe it's what she likes? Who knows

I once had a Freedom Ranger cockerel that only grew to half the size of his 25 siblings. He tasted fine and his shape was like the other meat birds, he just wasn't very big. I imagine it was dwarfism.
If it is a lone bird, it may not eat much and become despondent due to loneliness.
Chickens are an amadelphous species. They need friends to behave normally.

I put it out back in a small run with a BO about the same size. It's eating grass very well.
