We live an hour from there. My DD goes to Blairsville every weekend to see her BF. Cyn's closer than we are.

About 20 miles. In fact, we were in Blairsville and watched the news crews and the cops searching the roadsides the day they found her cell phone. Yesterday, we were there again and saw more news crews. It's really scary that they have NO idea. They are thinking it is not related to her parolees she oversaw, so that is even worse, that it may have been random. We do not deal with this type stuff here!! Meth is our worst problem here in the boonies, but kidnapping?

Oh my... I didn't hear about this, but I don't watch any TV or get the newspaper either. The internet is my source of news and I haven't even seen anything about this.

This is so sad. I have been watching this very close.....

My mare is on the equisearch team and we are waiting to hear word on this too to see if our team is going up there to help in the search....although I am not sure I can make this trip because my mare has a foal at her side right now. I did go down to FL and help with the Haley Cummings search.

They are running out of money so the intense part of the search has been called off, which bothers me. Then, as I said, this area doesn't have resources for stuff like this, being so rare.

Very sad and a good chance she is no longer alive ~ its probable that a hunter will find her when deer season starts. I do hope her family gets closure soon, hopefully finding her alive...although slim by now.
