cypress mulch

Is cypress mulch harmful to chickens? Mine seen to love to get in it and scratch around. If it is okay to use, I was thinking of using it on the part of their lot that is patio blocks. Don't know.

I've never heard anything bad about it. I know that cedar is not good for them. Don't you just love the smell of cypress? Its great.
