I'm sorry, but I have chlorinated tap water, which will kill fish. It seems like being unable to wait a day to do water changes (which will result in the death of fish, if done without dechlorinator) mitigates any possible benefit of doing the water changes early without the proper supplies.

I had a similar problem with hundreds of plants I was growing - had to let the chlorinated water sit in wide top containers for a few days . Hopefully most of the chlorine evaporated. When we used to have a de-humidifier running, we would use that water. Plants did much better but couldn't keep up with demand for so many plants.

In winter couldn't use a de-humidifier. plants looked awful.
