I want to automate water changes, but only if it does not create more work than it's worth. I'm not convinced on the efficiency of low rate drip systems, but I'll probably do some more calculations with regards to my specific use case.
In the meantime.... Manual water changes!!!
 
I have a 1500 gallon pond, and 9 indoor tanks. It doesn't rain enough here to use all rain water, so I have to use tap water and dechlorinate it. I have a 75ft Python water changer that I use for my indoor tanks, and for my pond, I can divert the water from the filter and use the 3500 GPH pump to drain it.
 
Definitely grander than I thought. Back when I was messing with it, I traveled too much. It's amazing how quickly things can go sideways. I was in NJ when the Ph spiked and came home to a bunch of dead fish. That ended the experiment.
