Always better to avoid shipping when possible. I just couldn't locate any of the quality I wanted locally in a timely manner.

I'm sure I can find one and yes, I always try my best to avoid shipping, especially when they are a few states away from me.

We only have one call at the moment. We think he is crossed with a wood duck because of the patterns around his eyes. We are currently looking for a mate for him. His name is Squirt.

I had a chicken go broody today so I stuffed a dozeb call eggs under her. No point in wasting a broody, especually when the hens do a better job on call eggs than my bators do.

I love it to! The breeder said the hen should start to lay soon so hopefully I can hatch a few ducklings.

He is. We did a duck rescue and got 13 ducks. We kept 3 and found places for the other 10. Two of the three passed away because of how bad the conditions were, but our little Squirt made it through. He is one tough little boy.
