I had a 10 to 11 year old hen lay an egg every other day from March till august every year until she died from old age last winter.Does anyone here know how long call ducks usually lay for? Like how many years?
this is normal drake behavior. They're evil little buggers during breeding season.Yeah! One of my hens starting laying eggs. Probably I have them in my garage due to this extreme cold spell. She's not sitting on her eggs though. Once there is about 10 I think I will move them to an incubator. My drake has become aggressive since she started to lay. Has anyone else experienced this? He was so friendly before.

X2. You should see Wobbles, he's attacking everything, even inanimate objects. Lotion bottles...drink cups... cats...my husband...
Poor WobblesHope you find him a woman soon lol.![]()
I have not experienced this with my calls. They jump on the girls every chance they get but have never attacked or come after me.
Well, so far I've confirmed at least 2 of my eggs are fertile and developing, so we'll see! C'mon powers of fate, gimme a lil' chocolate female! Fingers crossed!
