Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!

Eggs can be anywhere from 2 dollars for cheap non-SQ eggs and up to 8 dollars for really high quality bird eggs!

$2-$8 per egg or per dozen?

Usually, it's per egg. Mine went for $2 per egg only because I had mixed color pens that could throw any color & be carrying any color so would not necessarily produce the expected color of offspring the next generation. All birds were good breeder quality, no major flaws, and a couple were show quality. It all just depends on how you choose to breed & raise that determines prices.

@18angovem thank for you all of the wonderful compliments! I think my ducks are beautiful as well :) And yours! Very beautiful! My snowy, Winnie, has more white than it appears in that picture! Here's another picture of my two beautiful boys!

Thanks! I will have to take a pic of him in the summer! With his summer feathers all cleaned (Because my ducks stay in an outdoor aviary all year they get much better feather quality then ones that stay in those lifted cages) he is absolutely stunning! Just breathtaking! With his big head, little beak, and plump body and his beautiful dark brown chesnut! I will have my aunt, a professional photographer, take a photo with her good camera. Mine can just not get the color right!
you are welcome. I can hardly wait to see his summer picture. And all plumped out will send me over the edge. The plumpness of a bird sends me into orbit. The duck bird looks soft and cuddly and combined with the sweet face's ensemble of Puff and short beak, it's the epitome of duck bird. Not that other ducks aren't cute, they are, but anything mini is wonderful.

Oh I can see now in the second pic. I am working on getting some black (Not with any east indie in them) call ducks. There were some in national two years ago and they were beautiful! They are hard to find in SQ. I am also trying to find aztec blue which is one of the rarest color in call ducks! I am lucky enough to have a male but cannot find a female. He is like a light blue and males have a darker chest and darker head. Sorta where a grey male would have a green head and brown chest. Marilyn Pikal breeds both but have not been able to find any contact info for her! Anyone know?

I'm dying to get black calls too, but I'm happy with my chocos, hehe! My ultimate call duck is self-blue. I dunno if I'll ever have any, but I sure can try!

Ok thanks for all the answers, guys! Here's another question. What kind of water do you provide for your Calls?

Regular...water...? o.o;; Hehe sorry, I'm not sure how to answer that. I didn't know there was more than one type of water!

I just fill their pool or bucket from the hose & turn them loose on it. You can add a little upacv to the water of babies or small ducks. Really no point once they are swimming in pools.
