LOL! And this is why I adore you, Gent. ...Well that, and Tevye.But Bean is doing much brighter today! She's peeping more, sleeping less, and she even tore around the brooder for a while!

Now you used a "normal" word peeping, and it got me thinking of some brooder time silliness with my flock. I always wanted to make noise when I approached the brooder (I read they can recognize voices faster than faces and hearing your voice prepares them for you to "pop" up over the edge of their brooder). So one thing I did and it stuck (because it was sooooo stupid) was:
Sung to the tune of "Hello Mudder, Hello Fadder",
Hello duckies,
How you doin'
are you peepin'
are you poopin'
peepin' poopers,
poopin' peepers,
lots of eatin', drinkin', peepin', poopin', sleepers....
Then because I have no real imagination, I would just keep singing the "peepin' poopers", "poopin' peepers" part though a couple of verses.
I'm such a dork!
