Feeling incredibly lucky and joyful.
WHEW. I am so happy to hear that. Congratulations!! I am sorry you had to go thru the grief though.

I am in Michigan and am in search of any type of bantam duckling for sale. I had a single call duck hatch a few weeks ago and she is blind. The vet says she needs a companion, to help her figure things out, but the ban on poultry at the fairs is making it near impossible

As long as it's a bantam, I don't care about breed, gender, color, or quality. It will be an indoor pet, along with my little one. I would prefer a younger duckling though, in hopes of avoiding any possible domination issues with her (which is also why I want to stick with bantam size only). No more than 4-6 weeks. If ANYONE knows of ANY possible leads, please let me know! Thank you!
Oh wow. Bless her. Sweet little thing. I SO hope you get her a companion soon. Best of luck!!

This is my very confused call duckling (stew) in with his fellow chicken hatchlings. I wanted to see if I could do both ducks and chickens. Low and behold I have a baby lol

So upset right now... got home from vacation and my broody's single call egg was gone. I told everyone not to take the egg under her and hung a sign ON THE NESTBOX that said "DO NOT take Penelope's egg, there's a duckling inside" and it was gone when we got home. Nobody else lays in her box, ever. We called everyone and our neighbor said she took it but she forgot she left it on top of my growout pen run. She was at our house an hour before we got home. It was baking in the sun and the temp was mid-80's so I stuck it back under my hen and am praying for the best. I'm just mad beyond words...

You should have wrote " do not touch anything in this box" and " if you touch, egg will die" even if not true.... And also marked the egg. Put signs on the back of the coop door "did you touch the nesting egg? Go put it back IMIDIATLY".
And other signs low so kids can read them.

And more different kinds around on post it notes around the best box.

Also put some little razors danged on the room of the best box just about the hens heAd... Ahaha ha no just kidding bout that.

But you need to "retard proof" the place. I mean normal capable people who are freaking absent minded. Retard is used in no slure twards the handicapped. It's used to describe normal people who piss you the hell off by doing the wrong things.

There is a breeder in bloomer wi that has baby's of all kinds of bantom baby calls right now only two weeks old or so.

If you could make the trip, he has super show ducks and will let you visit the farm too.

So my ducks were penned today for the Royal Queensland Show, judging is in the morning and I'm very excited to see how they go. Here are there pen in photos for your enjoyment. I'd love feedback although please remember that these are Aussie Calls :)
