Oh wow. Bless her. Sweet little thing. I SO hope you get her a companion soon. Best of luck!!I am in Michigan and am in search of any type of bantam duckling for sale. I had a single call duck hatch a few weeks ago and she is blind. The vet says she needs a companion, to help her figure things out, but the ban on poultry at the fairs is making it near impossibleAs long as it's a bantam, I don't care about breed, gender, color, or quality. It will be an indoor pet, along with my little one. I would prefer a younger duckling though, in hopes of avoiding any possible domination issues with her (which is also why I want to stick with bantam size only). No more than 4-6 weeks. If ANYONE knows of ANY possible leads, please let me know! Thank you!![]()

Aww, that's sweet. If you keep them together, he's going to be even more confused when he goes to water and the chicks won't come with him. This is my very confused call duckling (stew) in with his fellow chicken hatchlings. I wanted to see if I could do both ducks and chickens. Low and behold I have a baby lol

So upset right now... got home from vacation and my broody's single call egg was gone. I told everyone not to take the egg under her and hung a sign ON THE NESTBOX that said "DO NOT take Penelope's egg, there's a duckling inside" and it was gone when we got home. Nobody else lays in her box, ever. We called everyone and our neighbor said she took it but she forgot she left it on top of my growout pen run. She was at our house an hour before we got home. It was baking in the sun and the temp was mid-80's so I stuck it back under my hen and am praying for the best. I'm just mad beyond words...
