Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!

you guys its finally getting warmer here, I am so ready for the calls to go back into the aviary they had only spent about 3 weeks in it before it got too cold and i had to bring them back inside, so hopefully this warm weather lasts.

I hope so too, that place is like the Hamptons for call ducks!

Ikr lol how r the eggs Amy ?

Not great. I had another quitter, and so if the oldest egg hatches it'll be all alone for at least 2-3 weeks while the other 3 incubate. Because of that I wonder if I should just raise it up as a houseduck and let Scovy Momma keep it after Wobbles and Bean are gone. If she wants to, that is...

That sounds like a good idea i really hope it works out all the eggs I've sent to Ravyn fallen quite except 1 ,I think is what she told me ,so it's just not the "best" time for calls to be growing :/

Sorry for your loss :hugs :hit

Hi, all, haven't posted here for a while! :frow Seems like it was quiet here for a long time, and then BAM, all these posts!

I have also heard they aren't as winter-hardy, and winter in northwestern Ohio can be petty brutal sometimes. And that they can fly pretty well. And they're loud. Maybe it's not a good idea...

Mine sure didn't get that memo! ;) I'm in NE Indiana, so we should have similar winters.

Loud, though, that much is for sure! Especially when they feel obligated to help your alarm clock out every morning.

I missed Transformation Tuesday, but does Throwback Thursday count? :D I was just looking at pictures of Crashie when she was a little squirt (probably why I thought to check in over here).

:hugs So sorry the incubation isn't going as planned. I've been there, they're just so hard to hatch. :/

EEEEEEE I WANT CRASHIE!!! She's just too cute!! And, yeah, they really are tough to hatch. :/ This is Bean's first clutch so I anticipated some problems, but not this many! Still worried, the oldest egg just went into lockdown and even if it hatches, I don't know what to do since it'll be all alone.

I WANT CRASHIE, TOO!!!
