I still say black bibbed. Black will fade in the sun and look like a light chocolate. But you'll know for sure with a new molt. New feathers never lie

I agree... and would also add, if they're from mixed color mating they could very well be expressing wild type pattern through the black... I have a trio of black bibbed very similar...
I don't know how it happened. One day, there was just a pen waiting for her in the house. It was like magic, I swear. 
But Crash is also moody and angry from her molt right now! Poor baby!

Actually, she was supposed to become buddies with the chicken chicks I got this year and move outside with them. This is how she reacted to that:
"...Nah, I don't think so."

She is an absolute dream of softness and cuteness. I just love her coloring. Even if she's molting I don't think it looks bad at all. She needs me to squeeze her after her painful molt resolves.
