i have a silke hen that went broody if i put some of my call duck eggs under her will they hatch? or is duck and chicken incubation different.

nope, she can def hatch them!!
though once they start wanting to play in puddles theyll give her a heart attack!

My Buff Orpington Bella hatched Lacey duck. She wasn't even bothered when Lacey went swimming. She would rather get in with her or just sit on the side watching. It was quite cute actually. Then when Bella wanted to dust bathe Lacey would sit with her and try copy haha. Mind Bella has always been laid back!

Here's what we were doing Monday before the thunderstorm hit. A Duke's mixture of Call ducks, Mallards, Bantam Cochins, Frizzles, Silkies and Barred Rocks.

Last pics were of us putting ducklings into carrier to bring back inside before the downpour. Only in Tennessee can it start raining while the sun is shining. LOL
