Very beautiful! I love ducks but sadly raccoons killed ours except for two but the raccoon bit their necks

Sorry to hear that. I'm pretty sure it was a raccoon that got my mandarin hen last week. Usually they don't come into the yard because of the dogs but I think this time 1 did.

Thanks. Don't know that I could have shot him but would have relocated him if I had caught him. I didn't actually see him or catch him. I found her body still inside the duck run with the other ducks but her head had been ripped off. I'm thinking she was sleeping too close to the fence and he was able to get his hand through and get her. The others wouldn't go anywhere near that corner for several days and are still leary of going over there. I can only imagine how traumatic it must have been for her and all the others watching. Breaks my heart every time I think about it. Can't find anyone who will just sell a hen either so he's left without a mate for the time being. Will try to hatch him out one in the spring I guess. Just feel terrible all the way around.

Well, when I get call ducks if I hatch some I'll give you a female for free if possible!

Sounds like you have quite an assortment of Calls. Fun stuff. Do you ever sell hatching eggs from your Call flock?
