Guys! I just candled my eggs(day 5) and 7 of 8 are developing and I can see their little heartbeat!! One step closer to fuzzy butts! Ahhhhhh!! I am so excited this is my first time incubating calls so I am aware they may not hatch but I had lacrystol on the end of a pm so hopefully! Sorry I this Is a really long and excited post!! Ahhhh!!

Do any of you have something you use or can recommend to band the very young Calls? I have to come up with something to identify the ones we have hatching and I'm already starting to have trouble remembering the details of the ones that have hatched so far. I'd prefer something with numbers but can't find anything numbered that's small enough.

I always just use a spiral leg bands I just use different colors and different combinations of colors when I run out of single color

My little yellow baby, that will either be a Snowy or a White, was sexed at the vet just now and she's a she!!! Her name is Winter

Speaking of which, I was finally able to snap some of lil' Mango-Bean. It wasn't easy, it turns out she's terrified of the camera! I swear, this lil' girl is scared of everything. Tsk. So I apologize for the quality, it was the best I could do with her trying her darndest to get away!

She actually looks like she's scared. How old is she now? She's going to be even prettier once she feathers out. I love the blue on any duck. I guess that's why I'm kind of partial to our Blue Fawns.
