so glad to find this thread!

my daughter has on pair of black calls that where given to her, what is the difference between black and self black? They have no white one them. (I will have to post a pic soon!) we had no luck with hatching so far! but this spring, we have lots of broody breed chickens so I am hoping to use them for hatching! yay! what is the time frame when ducks lay? we still know so little!

Candled the eggs tonight and saw one little bugger kicking his feet. Could make out both legs, little toes and webbed feet.

I can't wait for these guys to hatch! I have 14 of them in them in the 'bator now, staggered with 3 different hatch dates.

Mommy and daddy are both last year's hatch, so these will be their first ducklings. I'm dying for them to hatch - I want one marked like Sprinkles, but Black instead of Blue.
