I will have a hard time choosingThey are so adorable!
. They should make some interesting offspring.
If it's a boy, I'd get him other muscovies. Can you imagine a big 'scovy mating a tiny little call? Ouch!Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww I want one now!!! where would I go about getting one........I have a baby muscovy that some one gave my four year old who is currently hanging with the chickens......he needs a duck friend!! cute!
http://www.muscovyduckcentral.com/gender.html I found this helpful, as well as Miss Lydia. She was a Godsend! I thought for sure I had a drake, but nope. Macy is very much a hen. I also have two khaki campbell hens. My giant partridge cochin mates all three of those hens. I will smack him if he tries to mate a 1.5 pound call! He's HUGE.hmmmmm good point, ***fingers crossed for girl*** but.....how do you tell???
Thank you, that was helpful I guess I just have to be paitent until fluffy is not so fluffy any more!! btw , i think that is the funniest thing ever!!! wonder if he knows its not going to workhttp://www.muscovyduckcentral.com/gender.html

They did great out in the coop with the big kids last night! All safe and sound this morning. Not looking cold at all. It went down to 13 last night (or 55) and they were all good. Of course it is probably warmer in the barn then outside.
I LOVE how easy they are to herd. Maybe they will teach the teenager chickens a thing or two?![]()
He's ashamed that he's a chicken. You should see him crow. He looks like he's going to throw up. Most roosters will stretch their head UP to crow, he hangs it down. It's very odd. He was raised with all ducks/geese until I put him with my flock @10 weeks or so. He has never mated a chicken before, and he's going on 8 monthsThank you, that was helpful I guess I just have to be paitent until fluffy is not so fluffy any more!! btw , i think that is the funniest thing ever!!! wonder if he knows its not going to work![]()
