Im looking to buy some more grey call hens if anybody has any Pm me..thanks

Calls are laying like crazy here and i have 2 trays in the redwood full...have some pipping now. pics when they hatch

Last year I hatched about 10 calls and I didn't do anything special, just made sure to increase humidity a little during hatch. Other than that, I just went about it like I was hatching chicken eggs. I feed mine a waterfowl food when I can find it or a gamebird pellet when I can't. That has higher protein levels.Best of luck withyour hatching!

Thanks I also read to spritz with water once a day. I dunnot know they look good so far. I think my problem is I research stuff tooooo much on the internet!!! I ll Do what I think is right and sounds reasonable. Thanks Again

Hello everyone! I am new to Calls and I have a question. How old does a duck have to be before you can tell its sex by its color? I hatched 7 little mixed variety pet quality Calls back on June 12, so they are 7 weeks old today. They are pretty much feathered out, but their wing feathers are still growing. I believe that I have two Greys, three Black Bibbed, one Blue, and maybe one Dusky. I'm thinking that one of my blacks is a drake, it has more of a green sheen than the other two and has a thicker made, more masculine looking head. I will get some pictures posted and hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks!

You should be able to voice sex them long before the color difference would show up.

I bought 12 little ducklings almost 4 weeks ago as day olds. They were soooo small. I was told they were calls, but were mixed colours. They seem to be big to me.. Bigger than a chick the same age (standard sized). Do I have calls, or was I misled?

Thanks :D

They look like most of the call ducklings I see around here. Despite their size Call ducks do grow up fast like other duck breeds. They could end up nice pet quality Calls. You have quite the color selection!
