That's what my daughter said this morning. Guess it is some kind of crane. Ever since I got the chickens, lots of wild birds are coming in. Guess they know a good thing.

We know have 4 mallards in our pond(there were 11 babies, but I think the snapping turtles got them) and numerous large cranes.

thats so cute!! I believe that bird is an Ibis, we get them a lot down our way too. I love your hen also, I have one just like her, her name is "chicken Jane". I haven't seen many columbian wyandottes around have you?

Don't have a clue what the bird is, nothing we have in the Midwest.
But that is a good looking CW hen. Those will be on my chick order when I do. Want at least a 1/2 doz. of all the Columbians. They are a real hearty, pretty bird. They will go good with my BR's and others.

I'm glad you shared that ibis picture. I seen some in a zoo up in a tree and wondered what they were. They had the pink ones and I knew they weren't flamingos since that was the only bird sign besides a macaw that I seen. Very pretty birds.
