Hi all. I appreciate a forum such as this where we can all benefit from the knowledge of others.
I have recently achieved a lifelong dream of getting property. I just purchased 5+ acres in Marion TX. This property came with an established coop with 12 laying hens. One of them, named Helena, is a real gem. She likes to be held and follows you like a puppy.
We bought 5 chicks to add to the coop, but sadly only 3 remain. One died by jumping to it's death from the hands of one of children. The other was just dead one morning when we went to check on them.
... anyways... I look forward to sharing some pics later on.
