Oh, not the chicks, ME!!

If I'm not sitting in front of the brooder watching their antics (and laughing), I'm in here reading (and laughing!).

I just ruined a batch of spaghetti noodles because I forgot to stir 'em.

I's too busy watching the peeps fight for the prime spot on the roosting branch, and now I have to start over to be ready in time for a pot luck that I'm seriously thinking of blowing off cuz I'm having too much fun at home!

I need help! Do the moderaters have some sort of web cam so they can see my housework isn't finished and kick me off the board until my other chores are done?!

A couple of the DH's friends have asked him, "Do you KNOW how much a dozen eggs is going to cost you by the time you build a coop, buy chicks and feed, etc?!" He told them he didn't give a d, I was having fun and it was worth it.

Okay. Got to make spaghetti salad and finish the dishes.

Have fun!

What a hoot!

If I had a husband, I would probably have less time to watch, feed, clean and enjoy my chickens.

And he would have to be a poultry addict too!

So the heck with trying to find a new husband!!

Yikes! (she said, ducking below the computer screen and tiptoeing out of the room to the kitchen...

I have 25 chicks coming tomorrow. My DH is already worried that he won't get anything to eat for the first week. I can never seem to drag myself away from the brooder to do anything. Every time I try, I hear something in the other room and have to run back in to see what I have missed.

LOL! Hey, you just tell him he's all growed up and can forage for his own se'f! Dem liddle babies NEED you!!!

Besides, PB&J is actually a very healthy meal. Add a glass of milk and it's two courses!

Got my peeps on a Fri; on Sunday I made a beer-butt chicken. DH had this stricken look. Said, "You mean you're still gonna eat chicken?"

Told him, "THEY do! Why shouldn't I?"
