Daily Duck Egg Report

my ducks sleep away from my geese and have there own run she is doing way better but she is missing alot of feathers on her back she is walking and she laid a egg in the baby crib i m keeping her in
I'm glad to hear she didn't die. this time of year geese can be unpredictable with breeding season getting started up, they get ornery so best to keep them away from the ducks if you noticed them picking on someone.

i let them out together today while i was out the geese try ed to breed another duck so the ducks will have to stay in there own coop and run until i can find some thing to do with the geese do you think they will be fine after this breeding season is over and i got 0 duck eggs today

Once breeding season is over which will be around end of May the geese will settle back down, Do you have all ganders?

you should have taken a pic, I have one duck laying and it's the same one that went broody first last year, I'm going to have to keep my eye on that one.

6 eggs today but 2 nests. Guessing the bath yesterday did perk up the Ladies.

Wahoo! Finally..... found one smallish egg in the duck house this morning. I've been so impatient for them to get started again. This is from Pebbles, the one who hurt her leg getting off the deck last Fall. She is the smaller of my two ducks, and the least interested in the drake. I brought it in but then took it back out to where she laid it to encourage them to nest in their house. I just had 14 fir trees cut down and the place is filled with logs, rounds and huge piles of branches. The girls have been finding their way into that mess where I can't even walk yet, let alone look for a nest. Bendedict, the drake, has been going back under some bushes where they tried to hide eggs last year. Hope Beatrice adds to the nest tomorrow. I have missed those eggs so much.
