dairy cattle???

No doubt the Jersey is a great milker. My grandparents had 2 when I was younger, but the best I've worked with has been a Brown Swiss. Sally (her name) sure made milking the cows enjoyable!

Having grown up milking cows by hand, our old Jersey was the most tame when it came to milking.

We milked pure holsteins, and crosses of holstein/hereford, holstein/angus, holstein/charlais, and guernsey. The holstein/angus cross was the most tame after the jersey. They all gave an awful lot of milk. Once I do get to go back to the farm, I won't have a milk cow. They are an awful lot of work.

I am in the spring thinking of getting a calf. I really like the red and white color but my sister is in love with the jersey.

We had a Brown Swiss before our Jersey and she was too difficult to milk. We had to cull her.

I just bought a couple jersey bull calves and I heard they can get pretty aggressive and I was wondering if there was anyway of making them less so? If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.
