Hi from Iowa. My husband, 3 boys and I own/ run a dairy farm. As far as animals we have dairy cows, beef cows, pigs, a goat, a bunny, a chinchilla, tons of cats, 4 dogs, pet fish, and all kinds of birds.
The birds we have are Rouen and Swedish blue ducks, heritage turkeys (Bourbon Red, Royal Palm, Spanish Black), ringneck pheasants, Spalding peafowl, and lots of chickens of all kinds. We have a real diverse mixture of chickens, and of housing for them; some are in chicken house, some are in the barn, and some are free range.
I have beehives, a small orchard, and I keep a garden. I enjoy canning what I'm able.
I really love to incubate eggs, but with it comes a lot of frustration and heartache. It helps to know I'm not the only one who has had things go wrong even when you think you are doing everything by the book.

Hello! Welcome to BYC!!:frow

Good luck on your adventures! Your place sounds like so much fun! I can't wait to get a milk cow.

Thank you! I grow fodder in my basement in the winter for my birds as a treat.
