i appolagize for the lack of posts recently, as school has been hectic.

Several months later, A chicken was brought in to the house! it was put in a crate, and given a wierd circle thing to stand on. There the chicken would stay for days, weeks and months. The hoomins were constantly taking the chicken out of the cage and giving it some sort of liquid and then putting her back in the box, before leaving for "school", whatever that is.

Over time the two grew to be friends with the lady in the box. She said her name was Gloria. She told them wild stories of the perilous backyard and the fun the chickens had. while smudge was not very interested, daisy was enthralled. She HAD to get out. but alas she could not open the big thing that separated them and the backyard.

The great hoomins opened the door often, but were careful not to let lady Daisy out. She would wait sometimes all day for her chance to escape. alas, none such chance came.

one day, as the hoomin's friend came, they left the gate open! Daisy seized this chance and ran, almost making it to dining room before being scooped up and taken back to the kingdom
