They rarely go in the coop during the day, they get worms in the morning then terrorize all the bugs and dig holes all over the place when its hot lol. they have some great spots right now to some picnic tables under some low growing trees. If i ever have fly strike problems ill be weirded out. I think i need to down size anyway though more of my silkies are looking like boys all of a sudden..... 50/50 straight run and i seem to have gotten terrible luck. lol. 4/5 its looking like were boys. 2/2 porcelains were boys. I shouldn't gamble.

The ventilation requirements I provided are for roosting at night.
Straight run is NEVER 50/50. It's how the hatcheries get rid of a lot of their unpurchased males. I suspect it's much closer to 90/10.

So i may have been wrong about the late bloomer silkies. they are laying eggs lol.
