At least its a wee bit cooler today! I am on egg watch on my round of pullets from March 1 Orps and RIR showing in out interest in coup! Wattels got big and red a week ago and also squatting for Rooster! Going on 20 weeks tomarrow think I should be checking? Lol

I would b watching! I had two of my first pullets lay at 20wks (Ameraucana and NHR) U can also check their vents, if soft and kinda wet then that's ur pullet laying.

VW, I've got many cockrels right now I'm trying to thin them. I have several 12wk pure blue and black ameraucanas and three EE's.

It got here today! Aurecanas first egg she is 20 weeks and was walking in and out of coop! Started about 9 am this morning. She was real quiet when she went into coop last time. She was in there for 20 minutes or so then came out. She was real quiet and I thaught she did nothing. I saw her pick up some straw and flip it on her back! So I checked out this behavior in a thread on here. Well sure enough went and checked coop and there was a beautifully made big green egg and it turned out to be a double Yorker! Wow and no egg song!
