I do not have a dog crate.

Can you attach a picture? Snip off the thread holding it. Put some flour or corn starch on the tip and place her in a dog crate or basket on a towel for bedding. Or hold her for a bit with a washcloth on it.

Oops I didn't mean to write the basically the same thing, I rushed to the bottom and wrote it down because I always put my birds in a dog crate when their hurt and I really wanted to help

Do you have any cages he will fit in? He doesn't need to much room most of the time he will be in there he'll most likely just sleep and eat

We do not have a pen. Would put him in a box be okay, it is a big box? (we put him in a box when he is bad so...)

Thats good, he will be fine i have a rooster with his nail that short although I'm not sure how it happened one day I came out and his nail looked like it left to go on vacation, but didn't come back?

Do the nails grow back when that much falls off?
