Damn...Autopsy Results, Page 3 *Update* Jan Passed

Poor Jan.
I've had her in baths for several days, probed her, calcium water. Nothing's working. She's not even pooing yolk any longer.
She just lays there, breathing heavy with her eyes closed.
I can't get a vet to look at her.
Say a prayer please. She's my daughter's favorite and we're all very sad.

Does she have a big swollen abdomen (I'm just wondering if there's peritonitis)?

You can use a dropper with water and a splash of gatorade. Drop mixture on top of the beak. It'll flow around down into the beak where all she has to do is swallow. Keep doing it and see if you can get her beak to move indicating that she is swallowing.

No swollen abdomen really at all. I've probed her and felt nothing either. She was pooing yolk and whites, but nothing now. Her backside is pulsing, but no action. She is moving around a bit.
Given her calcium-laced water and yogurt, but she's very lethargic.

Where is the egg shell? If it's still in there, that's not good.

I've got one right now laying soft shells. I think I told you I pulled part of a shell out of her a few days ago. Yesterday, it was a complete shell less egg. It's weird. It's like her egg chute is all a bit twisted up so I have to move my finger around in there quite a bit to find the actual opening (and her straining to assist). Yesterday, I could feel the egg in there, finally after feeling around for awhile, a bit was exposed (inside) and I could feel its rough texture. I kept oiling and trying to move it but it wouldn't come out until she prolapsed it out (I mean the whole thing stuck out a couple inches, its like it had to straighten the whole thing out for the egg to drop).

Hey, I've got an idea. Wondering if your hens insides are all twisted up like that. Did it look like she was prolapsing at all? Wonder if some Preparation H would shrink things down enough to help expell whatever it is. Did you ever feel an egg in there at all?

Anyway, with the soft shells its that rough texture that makes it so hard to expell the egg.
