ok so my 6 week old chicks’ water leaks all the time. I checked on them and the pine shavings were damp. I don’t have any more right now. Should I throw the damp stuff out and let them use the little they have left or get ride of it all and have the bottom exposed??? Thanks in advance! Sorry if this doesnt make much sense!:lau

Damp shavings will mold and cause respiratory issues. Get rid of any damp shavings, and get a different waterer.

Definitely toss out the damp shavings. In the interim you can lay down paper towels so the brooder floor isn't completely bare.
